This year, to reduce the focus on presents, we’ve decided to do “Secret Santa”. This means that each person gets to buy/make a present for just one person each year. Buying presents for everyone can be expensive but you also often end up with things that you don’t really need or would use.
Today, the kids and I went off to the mall to each buy a present for the person that we drew out of a hat. The kids did so well not spilling who they got as we walked around the shops. I’m looking forward to seeing their reactions on Christmas day when they get to give each other the presents.
